Fall ACTA Social

Join us for a King of the Court Round Robin on November 22nd, 2014 – 7PM – 11:30PM

Attendance is FREE for 2014 Captains and only $30 for everyone else!!!  $30 for 3 hours of tennis!

Come join the ACTA board for another fun social on November 22nd, 2014 from 7pm-1130pm at the Arlington YMCA.  There will snacks, drinks, and tennis all night!

We will run a King of the Court Doubles Round Robin, which will be spread across all 8 courts.  Court 1 will be the top – King/Queen of the Court!  Court 8 will be the starting court.  We have found in the past  through other events that we’ve held that this is a great way to meet new people and get lots of tennis in! Here’s how it works:

  • Winners move up or stay if on Court 1; Losers move down to the next court.
  • When you move, you switch partners whether you win or lose.  If the winners stay on Court 1, they must split up and play against each other with one of the winners moving up from Court 2 as their partner.
  • Each round will be 30 minutes timed.  When time is called, the team with the most games won or ahead in the current game is the winner.  A sudden death point can be played to determine the winner.
  • Ad scoring
  • It’s a great way to play with friends, meet new people, and makes for some competitive tennis.
Instructions:  There will be a limited number of slots to ensure there’s not much waiting around.  Individuals please purchase a ticket to reserve your spot.  2014 Captains please choose the Captains Ticket to reserve your free spot. We cannot guarantee you play unless you select a ticket! Please do not just show up without letting Kim Knodt (Kim.Knodt@gmail.com) know.

We look forward to seeing you there!

    Hi Kim,
I just bought two tickets for myself and my partner CJ Jubilee to play at the event in Arlington on November 22nd. CJ and I are doubles partners. I did not see an option to indicate that we will play together when I bought the tickets. Can you please confirm that this is an option?
