Proposed Plans for Marcey Park Tennis Courts

Potential availability impact for public and ACTA member use of Marcey Park Tennis Courts! The Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA) has proposed improvement plans for Potomac Overlook Regional Park, which includes Marcey Park Tennis Courts. Marcey Park Tennis courts, recently renovated, are used by ACTA’s Spring and Fall Doubles League for regular season and playoff matches.

From NVRPA’s presentation to Arlington County Board:

Marcey Park Addition: Request long-term lease or gift of Marcey Park from Arlington County. May need to lease or deed some comparable area adjacent to Donaldson Run Stream Valley Park back to Arlington. The Potomac Overlook Preservation Association has scheduled a public meeting for more information on NVRPA’s plans. The public hearing will be on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 7PM at Fellowship Hall, Church of the Covenant, 2666 Military Rd., Arlington VA 22207.
