ACTA Spring Wrap-Up

July 13, 2010 | By

It’s hard to believe we had snow on the ground a few weeks before we started the season! To wrap up, we have plenty to be happy about:

->Spring 2010 was a season of firsts:
– Tom Smith did an excellent job as doubles coordinator during his first season expanding the league and communicating efficiently! Thanks Tom!
– TopDogTennis league management software was introduced with few issues.
– ACTA refreshed its website and registration process. Thanks Jacquie for running a smooth process!
-> We also played a lot of tennis this Spring:
– We scheduled 10 and played 9 matches in each of the three leagues!
– To date, about 300 ladder matches have been played
– ACTA’s 2nd annual Charity Doubles Tournament raised more than $2000 for local charities. Thanks Matt Seiler!
-> Arlington County has a very active facilities advocate in James Henretta
– We have open and frequent communications with the County.
– To give James a hand, report maintenance issues here http://www.actatennis.org/court-maintenance/
-> Registration opens for the Fall season August 1st
– Keep your eye on the Looking For a Team page if you need players http://www.actatennis.org/new-players/looking-for-a-team/
