acta 047The Arlington County Tennis Association sponsored its second annual charity singles tournament on the 25th of October benefiting three Arlington non-profits.

The event, postponed due to rain three times, welcomed over 80 men and women who each donated their entry fee for the privilege of running around Arlington’s signature blue courts chasing a green ball surrounded by a vibrant Virginia backdrop of fall colors. Check out the photos.

All prizes were donated by local businesses allowing all proceeds to go directly to the charities. With Sponsorship and everything included we raised $3030!  for the Arlington – Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless, Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment and Doorways for Women and Families. A great Success!

ACTA board member Matt Seiler organized the tournament with the help of several volunteers. Thanks to Matt, all the volunteers, the local sponsoring businesses, and the players for making the event a big success.
